INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE
India is a country of information hungry people. Curiosity, intelligence, the need for entertainment and the want to know more along with a rapidly expanding consumer class have been the riding force for the media boom, as it is being referred to. And experts believe that this boom is here to stay. But the question remains who will make the most of this boom? How will players achieve the competitive advantage? Who will succeed in achieving the right balance between trust and commercial value? We shall try and outline in this vision paper these objectives, and values that shall drive us and create for us a space within the current and expanding market which fulfill our twofold objectives, that of being a true, trustworthy, responsible and free media and second of achieving business results and gains without compromising on the first Experience proves that a clear vision and solid business strategy are vital to an organizations competitive success. For any media enterprise its vision is the most binding factor which gives dimension and shape to the ideas and identity and works as its governing/guiding light for years to come. And the vision should be credible, trustworthy, pure and without any iota of bias. It should be able to corroborate and reflect the feelings, aspirations, trauma and emotions of the masses.
