ONGC has canceled the leave application of Debashis Kharghoria following the circumstances arising out of the tragic demise of his father and mother. Debashis, along with his wife, is currently absconding after his father Rajani committed suicide following the death of his wife due to want of medical attention and medicines.
ONGC officials said Debashis had applied online for leave but that his application has been turned down. A team of ONGC officials met the inspector in-charge of Sivasagar police station and informed him about the application for leave submitted by Rajani Kharghoria’s son.
The officials also asked police to take necessary action against Debashis after an FIR lodged against him by his sister.
Meanwhile, Rajini Kharghoria’s daughter-in-law has also been keeping away from her school in Demow where she is a teacher. She has been giving her classes a miss since the past three days.
People, meanwhile, have expressed shock and dismay, questioning as to how a son can treat his parents in such an inhuman manner. People in Demow where Debashis’ in-laws are based have also termed the entire incident tragic with some people calling for Debashis and his wife’s social boycott.
