Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (Mar 18) paid his last tributes to Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar as he dashed off to Panaji following the Parrikar’s death yesterday.
Besides laying a wreath at the mortal remains of the three-time Goa Chief Minister who also served as the Defence Minister after Modi became Prime Minister in 2014, Prime Minister Modi also interacted with his family members at the Kala Academy.
Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Goa Governor Mridula Sinha were also present with Prime Minister Modi.
A host of other leaders besides people from all walks of life and cutting across party lines offered their tributes to the three-time Goa Chief Minister.
Manohar Parrikar had died Sunday evening after a prolonged battled with pancreatic cancer.
