Tezpur: In an unfortunate incident, 4 people including the driver were killed on Tuesday wee hours after a Tata Indigo Manza(AS-01AV-9959) they were travelling hit a parked truck near Bihaguri, Tezpur.
Three passengers died on the spot while the other person who was severely injured was rushed to the Tezpur Medical College where he was declared dead. The accident happened because of fog.
The deceased have been identified as Gautam Das, Mridul Saikia, Ujjal Kurmi and Homeshwar Nath.
According to reports, they were returning home after watching a football match in Tezpur.
This is the second incident of passenger vehicle hitting a parked truck. Earlier, last week in Orang, 8 people from Tezpur were killed when the Maruti Ertiga vehicle they were travelling had hit a parked truck. They were coming back from a marriage.
