Dibrugarh: In a horrendous incident a woman and her one-and-a-half-year-old son died after being allegedly set on fire by her husband at Barbaruah Mahamari in Dibrugarh.
Accused Dimbeswar Mura reportedly poured kerosene on his wife Arati Mura and his son and set them ablaze.
Police have already recovered the burnt bodies from their home and have detained the accused.
The accused tried to make the incident look like a suicide but accepted the murder charges during interrogation. Police have registered a murder case against Dimbeswar Mura and started the investigation. The motive behind the murder has not yet been known.
According to the reports the incident took place in broad day light which created panic among the locals.
