Assam’s shortest teenager is 27-inch tall

Korajhar: Kokrajhar’s Abdur Rashid Mondal is making headlines across the country for being the shortest boy in northeast India.

Abdur is only 27 inches tall and is now almost 18 years old. He weighs around 10 kgs and his weight was only 800 grams during his birth. Abdur is now a student at Kawoimari Madrassa School in Dhubri.

Abdur is the son of Eman Ali Mondal from Sonamoipara in Kokrajhar.

According to Abdur’s father Eman Ali Mondal, Abdur is his youngest son. His three daughters born prior to Abdur are of normal height and weight.

Abdur’s father stated that his son is receiving medical treatment since his birth and is still undergoing treatment at the Kokrajhar RNB Civil hospital.
