GUWAHATI: In a move to support the government’s efforts against COVID19, three businessmen from Assam have donated a total amount of Rs. 1 crore 46 lakh. Anupam Sarma, Aditya Goswami and Anil Das handed over the money through cheque to Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
“I have donated Rs. 50 Lakh to ‘PM-Cares’ fund and Rs. 25 lakh to ‘Assam Arogya Nidhi’. I have contributed total Rs. 75 lakh,” said businessman Anupam Sarma.
Two other businessmen—Anil Das and Aditya Goswami contributed Rs. 50 lakh and 21 lakh respectively.
Both of them expressed hope that their contribution would strengthen the government’s efforts against COVID19.
