Singer-filmmaker Zubeen Garg is continuing with the marathon publicity of his upcoming movie ‘Kanchanjangha’. Zubeen, wife Garima Saikia Garg and several cast and crew members of the movie met with students, teachers and staff of the college and other fans at Biswanath College on Wednesday (Aug 28).
Besides interacting with students who had turned out in large numbers to hear their heartthrob, the singer-turned-filmmaker also sang songs of the movie — to be released across theatres on Sep 6 — including the superhit song ‘Dhulikona’.
Zubeen Garg and team ‘Kanchanjangha’ began the movie’s mega promotion in upper Assam, in Tinsukia and then at Dibrugarh. They then travelled to Sivasagar, and then to Zubeen’s hometown Jorhat where he took part in several promotional events, mostly at several colleges – including at the JB College in Jorhat where he had earlier studied.
Zubeen and Team ‘Kanchanjangha’ also promoted the movie at Golaghat, Nalbari, Goalpara, Mangaldai etc.
Incidentally, amid the promotion of the movie at Mangaldai yesterday (Aug 27), Zubeen Garg and the Brahmin Samaj decided to formally bury the hatchet following the controversy over the singer-filmmaker’s rant against the Brahmin community.
