GUWAHATI: Mobile internet services resumed in Assam on Friday, ten days after it was suspended following protests and violence in some parts of the state
Broadband services, however, resumed from December 17.
The Assam Police has cautioned people to use the Internet, especially the social media carefully.
Speaking to News Live, GP Singh, ADGP Law and Order, Assam Police, “The mobile Internet services have been resumed but we are keeping a strict vigil, especially on the social media. I request the public not to post messages that can cause damage to the prevailing peace. We will strictly deal with those who try to spread fake news and rumors.”
