GUWAHATI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Ripun Bora has stated that the next government in Assam will be formed under his leadership. The APCC president also said that there will be no change of leadership in Assam Congress till the 2021 elections.
“Any change in state leadership is done by the high command. They would have already done so if required. I have been ordered by the high command to keep working. It means I will stay till 2021. So, Congress will contest the next assembly elections in Assam under my leadership and will form the next government.”
The Congress president also said that for the soon to be held BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council) elections the party is getting ready. Congress has kept its doors open in BTAD for those parties who are anti-CAA and against the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).
