Sivsagar : In a shocking incident, Thieves broke into the
Hazrat Khandakar peer Dargah, Sivsagar early on Monday and looted two cash boxes and fled away.
Speaking to the media, the Khadim of the Dargah stated that he found the tampered donation boxes and also noticed drops of blood on the floor. According to him, the thieves were somehow injured while opening the boxes and it appeared to be a handiwork of a gang and not a single person.
Sivsagar Police have registered a case and is investigating the matter.
Similar cases have been reported across the state where religious places have been targeted by thieves.
