Darangiri: After the shocking incident of Laden aka Krishna that shook the state, another dead elephant was found in the middle of a paddy field in Darangiri, Goalpara District.
According to the forest officials, the elephant died after getting an electric shock from the poorly-managed electric fences installed at the paddy fields to prevent wild elephants from destroying the crops.
But if the locals are to be believed, the elephant was killed by a wild tusker from another herd in a fight over territory intrusion.
