Guwahati: The 65th Filmfare was a starry night all together living up to the expectations of everyone who gathered to watch the who’s who of Bollywood held in Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati on 15th February.

Among the many new, dynamic performers who were present at the mega event, one actor we want to talk about is Taapsee Pannu.

Taapsee Pannu doesn’t belong to one industry, one language, one film family, or one Bollywood camp. She managed to carve a niche for herself in both Bollywood and Tollywood Industry.

Taapsee Pannu is the underdog who has made it big in a long, zig-zag climb to the top. And she shows no signs of slowing down. She debuted in Bollywood opposite to Ali Zafar in ‘Chashme Baddoor’ in 2013.

For Taapsee the Filmfare Awards night was all about dreams coming true.  For her portrayal of the septuagenarian sharpshooter Prakashi in Saand Ki Aankh (2019) she won the 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020 Critics Award for Best Actress.

The moment Pannu received the award; she took her social media handle to share the news with the whole world. And she was flooded with congratulatory messages.

But it’s her witty response to the producer Tanuj Garg congratulatory tweet that is making the netizens gaga over her achievement.

Garg had tweeted “Bollywood Female version of Ayushmann Khurrana” to which the Thapadd actress responded, “What about calling me bollywood ki pehli Taapsee Pannu.”

The netizens are also lauding her win and “befitting reply” to the producer.

One wrote, “Slayyyyyyyeeedd! What a befitting reply! Smashed the misogyny out of a sexist producer. Internet gone crazy! Taapsee is a staaaaaaaa!”

Another wrote, “Bollywood ki pehli befitting reply wali actress.”

A third tweet said, “Good one Tapsee! Pull down these patriarchy stupids.”
