4th edition of Guwahati International Music Festival to start from 29 Feb

GUWAHATI: The two-day Guwahati International Music Festival (GIMF) is all set to begin from February 29.

 

The fourth edition of Guwahati International Music Festival will feature various artists from countries like Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia, USA, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Artists from Northeast India who will perform were selected on the basis of state-level auditions.

The main attraction list of this edition includes Lucky Ali, Benny Dayal and his band Funktuation.

 

Organized by Eastern Beats Music Society in collaboration with North Eastern Council, Government of India, the 4th Guwahati International Music Festival will witness performances by more than 500 artists.

Apart from the music, people will also get an opportunity to taste the ethnic foods of Northeast India as GIMF is also organising an ethnic food festival along with the music festival.  

“We are all set to host the fourth edition of the Guwahati International Music Festival after conducting auditions across the Northeast. The fourth edition will be the biggest so far. GIMF 2020 is set to bring together over 10,000 people and 500 participating performing arts professionals and enthusiasts,” said Aiyushman Dutta, founder of GIMF.
