GUWAHATI: The 28th convocation ceremony of Gauhati University was held on Monday. The event was held at the Convocation Hall, University Playground.
Assam Governor and Chancellor of Gauhati University, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi attended the 28th convocation ceremony.
The convocation address was delivered by chief guest Professor Sudhir Kumar Sopory, eminent scientist, Padmashree and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar awardee and former Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
A total of 2,534 students were conferred at the convocation this session. The certificates for the degrees of DSc, Ph.D. (Doctoral), and MPhil were handed over to the recipients during the ceremony.
