GUWAHATI: The Noonmati Police on Monday evening arrested one drug peddler and recovered banned substances and Rs. 42,200 cash from him.
Acting on information from a secret source an Assam Police team launched this night operation and nabbed the drugs peddler from Matgharia area.
The person has been identified as one Jayanta Kalita and the Assam Police team nabbed him while he was trying to sell the drugs.
According to sources Jayanta had been supplying drugs in other parts of Guwahati as well.
