GUWAHATI, Jan 5: Enthusiasm among cricket fans is at its zenith ahead of today’s T20 tie between India and Sri Lanka to be played at the ACA Stadium at Barsapara in Guwahati.

Intermittent showers in the morning and an overcast sky had dampened spirits of cricket fans. However, with the weather improving, fans are looking forward to a great contest between the two cricketing nations.

“The overcast sky and the morning drizzle had dampened my spirits. The weather has now improved. It should be a great contest. I pray rains don’t play spoilsport,” Gautam, who has come all the way from Jorhat to watch the match, told News Live.

“The weather is looking good now. Hope it stays like this. It should be a good contest.
Although the Lankan team is a bit inexperienced compared to the Men in Blue, but you cannot rule them out of the game. I’m keeping my fingers crossed,” Ipshit, who is a big fan of Virat Kohli, said.

The Assam Cricket Association (ACA), meanwhile, said the ground is in very good shape and that they are looking forward to a very good match.
