GUWAHATI, Dec 17: Protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill turned violent in New Delhi once again as protesters clashed with police at Seelampur and Jaffrabad areas in Northeast Delhi.

Visuals beamed by TV news channels showed protesters pelting stones and attacking police forcing the latter to lathi-charge and fire tear gas to disperse violent mobs.

Protesters also pelted stones at DTDC buses while several two-wheelers were also torched.

Six metro stations were also shut in the wake of the violence in the national capital.
