PUBLISHED:

Police on Monday quizzed nine dismissed APS, ACS and allied service officials at the Central Jail in Guwahati. The quizzing session of the nine officials, accused of clearing the APSC test by bribing officials, started at around 7:30 AM on Monday in front of APSC cash-for-job prime accused Rakesh Paul. The officials are: Nishamoni Deka, Kaushik Kalita, Barnali Devi, Raju Saha, Debajit Bora, Sabira Imran, Sudipta Goswami Bhattacharya, Rumi Saikia and Pallabi Sarma Choudhury.

Previously, the Court of the Special Judge, Guwahati, had given Dibrugarh Police permission to interrogate 33 arrested APS, ACS and allied service officials in prison. The ruling came after Dibrugarh Police petitioned the court, seeking its permission to interrogate the 33 officials accused of clearing the APSC test by bribing officials.
