Guwahati: Union Minister for Defence, Rajnath Singh, is on a two-day tour to Arunachal Pradesh.
Rajnath Singh landed at Tawang helipad at noon today, where he was received by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu. The defence minister then visited the Tawang War Memorial.
In Tawang, Rajnath Singh will take part in Maitree Diwas (Civil-Military Friendship) celebrations at the Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium. This is the 11th edition of the Maitree Diwas.
Rajnath Singh will also be visiting forward areas bordering neighbour China and will inaugurate Sisseri River Bridge in East Siang District on Friday.
Pema Khandu, Chief Minister, Arunachal Pradesh welcomed the Union Minister for the Maitree Diwas celebrations.
