Political conspiracy against me: Rajen Gohain on rape allegations

PUBLISHED:

Union minister Rajen Gohain has termed the allegations of rape leveled against him by a woman in Nagaon as a political conspiracy aimed at maligning his image. The Minister of State for Railways claimed people with vested interests have been trying to defame him in the past as well and that he had been victimized in the run-up to the elections in 2016 and 2011.

“It’s a political conspiracy against me. Conspiracies are plotted against me every time I am about to contest elections. This happened in 2016 & 2011 as well. It is taking place yet again. Investigation is underway and the truth will be revealed soon,” Gohain said in New Delhi.
