Jalukbari Police Thursday arrested Manoj Kalita, the driver of a traveler minibus, for trying to mow down an on-duty traffic policeman. Incidentally, a video that showed a traffic policemen clinging on to the bonet of the minibus (AS 01 HS 5913) driven by Manoj Kalita went viral yesterday (Feb 27).
The traffic policeman, identified as Parag Changkakati of Jalukbari traffic out-post, was shown holding on to the minibus while pleading with the driver to stop the vehicle.
However, despite the traffic cop’s pleas, Manoj Kalita kept driving the traveler. Other passengers were also heard asking the driver to stop the vehicle.
After the video went viral, and with people expressing shock and dismay over the incident, police tracked the vehicle and also arrested the driver Manoj Kalita.
