BREAKING | Grenade blast in Demow, one killed

PUBLISHED:

One person has been killed while two persons, including a woman, were injured in a grenade blast orchestrated by suspected ULFA (I) militants at Demow in Sivasagar district of Assam. The grenade was lobbed inside the bicycle shop of a businessman named Kamal Agarwalla at Demow Charali.

The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained so far although he is believed to be a customer who had come to the shop to make some purchases.

Kamal Agarwalla, the trader, has received serious injuries in his head and hands while the deceased, who was also injured in the blast, was rushed to the model hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A woman has also been reportedly injured in the blast.
