Visuals had showed how small school students of West Kuruati LP School, some as young as 6-7 years along with their headmaster, risked their lives by crossing a river in kitchen vessels to reach their school and then head back home using the water route in the same kitchen vessels.
The children said they feel scared while crossing the river in such manner but claimed they do so since they don’t have another option in the absence of a bridge over the river.
The issue has also evoked sharp reactions with people expressing shock and anger over lack of development activities in several interior pockets of the State.
