In a tragic incident in Bhojo under Assam’s Sonari constituency, a minor electrocuted to death on Saturday. The incident took place when the minor came into contact with a snapped electricity cable while he was on his way to an Anganwadi centre.

On the other hand, irate people in the area roughed up Anganwadi assistant after the incident. It is to be noted that Bhojo come under Assam Power Minister Tapan Gogoi’s home constituency Sonari.
The Power Minister Tapan Gogoi, meanwhile announced a probe into the incident of the minor electrocuted to death. Gogoi also announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2.5 lakh to the next of kin of the minor.
