2nd ODI: India beat West Indies by 107 runs, level series 1-1

India defeated West Indies by 107 runs in the second one-dayer at Visakhapatnam today (Wednesday) to stay alive in the three-match series and enforce a decider at Cuttack on (Dec 22).

Chasing a mammoth target of 388, the visitors were bundled out for 280 runs in 43.3 overs. While opener Shai Hope top-scored making 78 runs, Nicholas Pooran made 75 runs off just 47 balls.

Keemo Paul, who was the last wicket to fall for the visitors, made a quickfire 46.

Kuldeep Yadav registered a hat-trick picking up three for 52 in his 10 overs became the first Indian cricketer to take two hat-tricks in international matches.

Earlier in the day, centuries by openers Rohit Sharma (159) and KL Rahul (102) helped the hosts post 387/5 in 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer struck a 32-ball 53 while Rishabh Pant made 39 off 16 balls.

Rohit Sharma was named Player of the Match.
