GUWAHATI: From December 7, Alliance Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air India Limited will connect Guwahati-Dimapur, and Dimapur-Imphal, under RCS-UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) Regional Connectivity Scheme.
The Alliance Air flights will connect Guwahati-Dimapur, Dimapur-Imphal three times a week on both routes.
Instead of the nearly seven hour bus ride between Guwahati and Dimapur, people can now fly between the cities in just 50 minutes. It will also provide swift connectivity with Imphal for the first time, said Hardeep Singh Puri, Civil Aviation Minister in a tweet.
