Assam: 4 COVID19 patients discharged from Golaghat Civil Hospital

GUWAHATI: Four COVID19 patients have been discharged from Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital at Golaghat in the presence of Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The patients are— Haidar Ali,Wahid Begum, Yakub Ali and Ruma Begum.

The blood and throat swabs of the patients were thoroughly tested at Jorhat Medical College and ICMR, Lahowal. With this the total number of discharged COVID19 patients has reached 9 in Assam. Earlier, 2 from Sonapur District Hospital and 3 from Goalpara Civil Hospital were released as they had tested COVID19 negative. On the other hand, among the total 34 patients in Assam, one person from Hailakandi district  died on April 34.

Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that three other patients will be discharged soon from Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital.

“In this hospital we have arranged 56 quarantine beds, 40 isolation beds and 24 ICU beds,” Dr. Sarma added.
