GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal today received the report of the high-level committee on Assam Accord’s Clause 6 at Brahmaputra Guest House, Guwahati.
The committee headed by former Gauhat High Court judge Biplab Kumar Sarma handed over the report to chief minister Sonowal in presence of finance minster Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and other members of the state cabinet.
Sonowal received the report on behalf of union home minister Amit Shah. Reportedly, it will be sent to New Delhi soon.
On the other hand, All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) leaders Dr. Samujjal Bhattacharjya, Dipanka Kumar Nath and Lurinnjyoti Gogoi who were members of the panel didn’t turn up for the meeting.
