GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed a press meet to brief the current situation in the state in the wake of Coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak. Here are the key points from his press meet:
The name of Guwahati patient is Manish Tibrewal.
Mofijuddin from Bamunigaon infected with Coronavirus.
Jamia Khatun from Morigaon found positive.
Babul Ali from Lakhimpur tested positive at ICMR, Lahowal.
Ashraf Ali from South Salmara is another patient who had returned from Nizamuddin Markaz.
“We have identified 111 people who came into contact with Manish Tibrewal of Guwahati,” said Dr. Sarma.
Manish returned to Guwahati on March 1.
Some from Nagaon on quarantine.
Spanish Garden will be a containment zone. No one will be allowed to enter the apartment till next 14 days. No one will be allowed to come outside from Spanish Garden for the next 14 days.
1529 COVID19 tests so far conducted in Assam.
In Assam, 1308 samples are COVID19 negative, 25 COVID19 positive.
Results of 196 are awaited.
