GUWAHATI: In a move to combat the spread of Coronavirus, the Assam Government is transforming Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati into a quarantine facility.
Health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited the stadium-turned-hospital to take stock of the preparations.
The massive quarantine facility will accommodate around 700 people. Visiting the site and evaluating the preparations, minister Sarma expressed satisfaction over the progress of the works.
Though no positive case has been detected so far in Assam, the state health department under the leadership of minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been leaving no stone unturned to prevent the spread of deadly Coronavirus.
Guwahati is all geared up to win the battle against #COVID.
