GUWAHATI: A person from Cachar district, Assam who attended the religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz, New Delhi has been tested COVID19 positive. It was stated by Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma via Twitter. This takes the total count of COVID19 positive cases in Assam to 26.
Health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted “Alert ~ one more #Covid_19 positive case from Cachar District has been confirmed, taking the total number in Assam to 26.
This patient is also related to #NizamuddinMarkaz event in Delhi.”
The first COVID19 positive case was also from Cachar.
