Three including BJP Yuva Morcha member arrested for attack on Rameswar Teli’s residence

GUWAHATI: Three men including a member of BJP Yuva Morcha have been been arrested from Duliajan under Dibrugarh district for their alleged involvement in the attack on Union minister Rameswar Teli’s residence during anti-CAA agitation.

The member of the youth wing of BJP has been identified as Debajit Hazarika.

Police arrested Hazarika from his residence at Duliajan on Sunday for his alleged involvement in the attack which took place on December 11.

Two other men identified as Biki Sonar and Arup Kanhar have also been arrested in connection with the attack on Dibrugarh MP’s house.

A section of anti-CAA protesters reportedly attacked Duliajan residence of Union minister of state for food processing industries Rameswar Teli on December 11. The protesters also damaged the properties of Teli’s house.
