CM Sonowal takes stock of Filmfare preparations at Sarusajai

GUWAHATI: Preparations are in full-swing for Filmfare Awards Ceremony 2020 as Guwahati is all set to host the gala event on February 15.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited Sarusajai Stadium on Tuesday to take stock of the preparations.

 

With only a few days left the Sarusajai Stadium will turn into a mini city of dreams as it has been decorated with different lights and colourful sequins. The stage and the pandal are completed for the grand night.

It may be mentioned that the tickets in Book My Show and Awesome Assam website have been sold out for the award ceremony.

Assam Tourism Development Corporation Limited’s Chairman Jayanta Malla Baruah said, “On 15th February, people will witness a night of glitz and glamour altogether. Of now 24 A-listers Bollywood celebrities have confirmed their participation in the event. People will also get to know about different kinds of technologies starting from sound, visual effects, stage modulation etc. and I hope that the youth get inspired by all of it.”

He also added, “Tickets on Book my show have been sold. Tickets are available on Awesome Assam website. People can still buy tickets from there. Tickets priced from the lower range have been sold out but the higher-priced range tickets are still available. And I hope in the coming days these tickets will also be sold out.”

Meanwhile, security arrangements have been tightened in Guwahati to ensure law and order during the event.
