COVID19: Jamaluddin Hazi from Dhubri is Assam’s patient number 27

GUWAHATI: Jamaludddin Hazi from Chapar area in western Assam’s Dhubri district is the Assam’s 27th COVID19 patient. Jamaluddin who tested COVID19 positive on Tuesday morning attended Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz in New Delhi.

Speaking to media Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Jamaluddin Hazi is the resident of Kazipara part one village in Chapar. He went to Nizamuddin Markaz on March 6. He was there till March 9. Jamludddin stayed at Athgaon Masjid in Guwahati on March 10 after his return by Rajdhani Express. He went to Abhayapuri by a local train on March 12.”

During this period the person met several people including doctor. He is now being treated at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati.

The residence of Jamaluddin Hazi has been quarantined and the people who came into contact with him have been kept in the quarantine facility at Dhubri Civil Hospital.

With Jamaluddin, the total number of COVID19 cases in Assam has reached on Tuesday. Among them, 26 are related to the religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi.
