GUWAHATI: A section of unscrupulous people is spreading rumours and fake news in the midst of India’s battle against Coronavirus outbreak. A fake news is being circulated on different social platforms which claimed one Coronavirus positive case has been detected at Bilpar in Rehabari area of Guwahati.
According to sources, the person who has a foreign travel history has been kept in house quarantine. But no symptoms of Coronavirus have been found in him.
A team of Paltan Bazar Police and health department visited the residence of the person at Bilpar in Rehabari and cleared the doubts of the people. Police appealed the people not to believe in such fake news without any formal announcement by the concerned authorities.
