GUWAHATI: Security arrangements have been tightened in Guwahati for the Filmfare Awards Ceremony which is scheduled to be held tonight at Sarusajai Stadium.
Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, city police commissioner Munna Prasad Gupta said that Additional security forces have already been deployed to ensure law and order during the gala event. Besides, high security in and around the venue, security arrangements have been beefed up in the hotels where the Bollywood celebrities are staying. Adequate security personnel have been deployed at Radisson Blu hotel, Novotel and Vivanta by Taj.
On the other hand, drones and CCTV cameras have been used to monitor the venue constantly.
Meanwhile, Guwahati traffic police has issued some guidelines to ensure hassle-free experiences for the commuters. Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police Ranjan Bhuyan informed newsmen that only those vehicles with passes will be allowed to enter the stadium.
