GUWAHATI: A massive fire broke out today evening at Nagaon Bhogeswari Phukanani Civil Hospital premises. Several houses of Harijan colony of the hospital turned into ashes in the devastating fire.
The fire reportedly spread to other areas of the hospital which created panic among the people.
Meanwhile, Assam Fire and Emergency Services personnel arrived and doused the fire.
“The fire started from a house of Harijan colony and spread to some other areas of the hospital. However, fire tenders arrived in time and took fire under control,” said an employee of Nagaon BP Civil Hospital.
The exact cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
