GUWAHATI: The COVID19 patient from southern Assam’s Hailakandi district died at 1.55 AM on Friday. The person named Faijul Haque Barbhuyan breathed his last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).This is the first COVID19 related deadth in the state.

Besides COVID19, Faijul was also suffering from Pneumonia. He was admitted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital onTuesday. The 65-year old man also returned from Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi. His last rites will be performed according to the protocol of COVID19.
