GUWAHATI: In view of lockdown to prevent the spread of deadly Coronavirus, food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department of the Assam government has arranged seven designated points to sell vegetables in Guwahati from Friday.
The designated areas are— Sixmile (vehicle number : AS 18 AC 2186), Ganeshguri (vehicle carrying Vegetables number : AS 18 C 8465), Ulubari (vehicle number : AS 18 AC 2244), Fancy Bazar (vehicle number : AS 18 AC 1179), Narengi (vehicle number : AS 18 C 9306), Maligaon (vehicle number : AS 19 C 4794) and Silpukhuri (vehicle number : AS 18 C 9679).
The decision was taken after the discussion held under the chairmanship of food, civil supplies and consumer affairs minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury and senior officials of the department.
