GUWAHATI: In the wake of Coronavirus disease outbreak Assam Police is also contributing its share to help stop the spread of this deadly disease. The Noonmati Police Station on Thursday distributed protective face masks to its personnel and the general public to create awareness about Coronavirus disease.
Masks were distributed to public and the police personnel at the station by the officials. As the police personnel have to move around the city, masks can come handy to those on duty. Moreover, water and soap has been kept outside the station building for those visiting the premises for work.
The officer in charge of Noonmati Police Station said, “As the country is getting affected due to the virus we have been put on alert by the department and the government. As everyone is taking steps to spread awareness we, too, have come forward with some initiatives. We have distributed masks to our personnel and the public who have come here. Also, washing hands with soap and water has been started before entering the office or before eating. This alertness is to keep the virus at bay.”
