Guwahati: Russian lady tourist with quarantine stamp faces ordeal

GUWAHATI: A Russian lady tourist with quarantine stamp on her hand had to face hard times in Guwahati seeking helping hand on the city streets which donned a deserted look during the lockdown. According to reports, the Russian woman named Amina came to India around three months ago. Amina was marked with quarantine stamp at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport when she arrived in Guwahati five days ago. She was staying at a hotel at Paltan Bazar.

She ventured out to GS road today in search of a cheaper accommodation. City Police acted promptly when New Live aired the harrowing times of the solo woman traveller. After the News Live report, Amina was taken to the  hotel where she was staying.

The Russian tourist has been kept in quarantine at the hotel as a preventive measure against Coronavirus outbreak.
