Jonda Iman Gunda’s Producer Pranjal Bharali no more

GUWAHATI: Noted Assamese film producer Pranjal Bharali passed away today morning at  Nemcare Hospital of Guwahati.

Bharali who produced popular films like ‘Jonda Iman Gunda’, ‘Suren Choror Putek’ breathed his last following prolong illness. He leaves behind his wife and a daughter.

“Bharali was suffering from kidney related disease and diabetes for a long time. His condition deteriorated from last night and breathed his last at 5.45 AM today. He was 60 at the time of his death,” said managing director of Nemcare Hospital Dr. Hitesh baruah.

“We are saddened at Pranjal Bharali’s demise. He was a well-known name in film fraternity. Bharali produced many films including ‘Maa Tumi Ananya’, ‘Antaheen Jatra’, ‘Suren Choror Putek’ and ‘Jonda Iman Gunda’. Besides that he was a businessman,” Dr. Baruah added.

Meanwhile, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal condoled the death of the leading film producer.
