GUWAHATI: At least 2 persons have been killed and 15 were reported critically injured after a passenger bus collided with a Bolero Pickup in Golakganj. The incident happened at around 7 AM Tuesday. The dead include the handyman (helper) of the bus and a child (Pritam Kar).
The passenger bus WB -71 A 8604 carrying a marriage party was travelling from Sapatgram to Cooch Behar (West Bengal) when it collided with a Bolero Pickup WB -63 B 1120.
The bus was returning from a marriage ceremony and was carrying guests of the groom from Cooch Behar. The Bolero Pickup loaded with pipes was coming from the opposite direction.
The critically injured passengers have been admitted to Dhubri Civil Hospital for treatment.
