Pramod Boro becomes new UPPL president

GUWAHATI: Former All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) president Pramod Boro has been appointed as the new president of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL).

Former UPPL president UG Brahma told newsmen that Boro has been elevated to the post owing to his illness and to ensure the implementation of the Bodo Peace Accord.

Meanwhile, former student leader and new UPPL president Pramod Boro said, “Politics is not my profession, not my passion. But it is an assignment for me.”

Boro said that he has taken the post as an assignment to develop Bodoland Terrritorial Region (BTR) and solve the problems of the people.
